Angel Cards

This may be a little bit out there for some of you, but I wanted to give the rest of you the link for angel cards.

I was first introduced to Angel Cards during massage school. I know, it is pretty woo woo, but I went to school with a lot of woo woo people. I was actually on the normal end of the spectrum if you can believe that! And I also don't want to turn anyone off of massage either, we really did balance the woo woo with the medical. It was a full range education.

Anyhow, whenever we would first come in to class, we were asked to draw an Angel Card to help see what our direction as an individual would be that evening. After we drew our card, we could share it with the group, or keep it to ourselves. Some days it was eery how many times one card was drawn and then redrawn.

I now have a set of Angel Cards that I keep on my desk for when I need to direct my focus, and I can't seem to. During times of a lot of stress, I'll make choosing a card a daily practice. I almost view it as a fortune cookie, without the cookie. I will also use the card as a starting point for journaling exercises. When I draw a card in the morning, I'll look for the way that the card presents itself during the day. When I draw my card at night, I'll reflect on where I noticed the card during the day. I vary the times that I draw the card, depending on my mood.

Tonight the card that I chose was LIGHT.
"Let your spiritual nature illuminate and brighten each day. Pay attention! Brushing over details can create gray and stagnant areas"

I love that I'm not the only person to describe things as "woo woo!" Back in college we did something kind of wooey that occasionally I still do today. We'd do the Mandala exercise that Carl Jung made famous where you draw a circle on paper and then fill it with color and form without thinking about it. Then we'd share them with each other and interpert them. Very intereting!
