After hearing our baby's heartbeat, and then miscarrying, my fears about losing our living pregnancy and not knowing it were real. I was terrified that the tiny heart tones would disappear and I wouldn't know for weeks that the pregnancy had ended while I felt that things were going fine. By the time I had gotten pregnant with Ivy, I found something to keep my sanity in those months. A rented doppler from Stork Radio. The process includes contacting the company with your information and payment arrangements. They then send out a high quality doppler and gel to you along with instructions to help hear your baby's heart. I had tried the over the counter machines with absolutely no luck. A few years ago, it seemed like all of the rage was those yellow Lance Armstrong bracelets. My young niece had one, as well as my retired father in law. Then more and more causes and colors came on the scene. Along with school bans and controversies as well. I don't often see these types of bracelets any more.

Throughout this past year I have been coming across products here and there that would make thoughtful gifts for a woman that is experiencing infertility and loss. In honor of the Christmas spirit, I thought that I would begin to run these here and there just in case a gift idea was needed. My first website is called Wear A Prayer. They offer beaded prayer bracelets that represent prayers for women and for girls. The bracelets do run a little much for a casual gift, but would make for a special item for someone who was close to your heart. Here are a listing of their women's bracelets. The Psalm 23 Prayer Bracelet The Psalm 23 Prayer Bracelet is designed as an aid to contemplation of Psalm 23, beloved… [more]
