Gratuitous Cute Kid Pic

Continuing on my copycatting of other blogs, here is a type of post that I picked up from www.antiracistparent.com
The Gratuitous Cute Kid Pic!

This is Becken on Halloween, displaying only one of a few smiles wearing his frog costume. He couldn’t stand the thing. It was actually our back up costume, as our first pick didn’t fit and we had to save it for next year. I was then on the mission to find something for him to wear.

The plan on the frog outfit was that he would be the frog prince and Miss Ivy would be the princess. Until she then decided that she wanted to be Spongebob, Patrick, and a Baseball player. She ended up being Nemo (again), but refused anything princess at all. So Bec would be a frog all on his own.

When I went to put the thing on him, I absolutely knew that it wouldn’t fit. I ended up cutting the feet out of it and tried to break the elastic around the ankles, but that didn’t work either. Then one of the belly snaps wouldn’t stay closed and I noticed that the top snap had bust through the fabric on the opposite side.

The novelty of it worked for about 5 minutes while I quickly snapped a few pics before he ripped the hood off and started to cry his foghorn cry. (Have I mentioned before that he is the LOUDEST kid I’ve ever encountered)

By the time Daddy came home and all of the cousins and sister were out trick or treating, he was on the couch, on a lap, sucking down a warm bottle. He was crashed out before they got back with the loot.

And that is the story of Becken’s first Halloween. May next year be much better!
