Once again, as I was reading through the comments on my blog, I looked up and saw an interesting ad that I just had to check out. I love to write, love to journal, and since grief is foremost on my mind lately, Grief Journal by Linda Lodge Abelson Andreozzi.

Linda’s unexpected loss of her husband caused her to begin journaling. As she continued to write through the years, she would use her journals to see how they helped her heal through the trauma. Published by Good Ground Press, Grief Journal helps people write their own grief story.

“Instead of telling people how they should grieve, I tell my story and, even though the reader is invisible to me,
I ask them to tell me their story.” Andreozzi knows all to well that the processes of telling one’s own story is just part
of a journey that never really ends. But the process of recalling one’s own story is powerful and cathartic. She believes

the power of journaling will help others struggling with grief to uncover their own questions and find the answers.
“What started out as a journey of grief and dealing with the raw facts and pain of death moved to a discovery of self.
That’s what my pain gave me.”

~ Linda Lodge Abelson Andreozzi

Full color along with exercises and suggestions on how to process your grief, you can order the book through www.griefjournal.com for $15.95. It is spiral bound and offers space to write your own thoughts. The author has also included in the journal her own paintings that she created throughout her grief process.

Although at this point in my life I’ve been really drawn to art journaling, this advertisement has got me thinking about keeping a written journal as well, at some point.
