Dear Readers,
Thank you so much for allowing me to give you my opinions and to share my story on a daily basis with you. Having just come over from www.adoptionblogs.com I wasn't sure how it was going to go over here, blogging all by myself as opposed to blogging with a group. But so far, it has been working out fine. And I am enjoying it as much as I ever have.
Thinking back to last Valentine's Day, this has been a nice day. My father was dying at home from pancreatic cancer and every hour we were uncertain how much longer his life would be. Death watch is devastating. And this year, although I miss him so much, I'm thankful we are not back there again. Last year, I had no idea that in May I would begin a new part of my life as a writer. I didn't realize that unexpected blessings were just around the corner.
Writing about infertility has helped me to process all of the losses in my life, not just my pregnancies. It has helped me to see that talking and writing about your sadness helps you come through to the other side. You guys have helped me heal in this aspect.
You have also given me the opportunity to learn about so many different aspects of infertility. I was aware of some of the major ones, yet unaware of many others. And the treatments that are being used today are constantly changing and evolving, giving me new topics on an almost daily basis.
Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday. Many of my friends say that this is because I am in a relationship, but that is not the case. For me, Valentine's Day is about love. Sharing the love that you have in your life, regardless if this is with a spouse or not. Celebrate the love today.
Happy Valentine's Day!
Karianne
