blemish Juice Beauty Blemish Serum: For a Delicious Experience

The slogan for JUICE Beauty is Buy it because it’s ORGANIC…Use it because it WORKS. Hey, truth in advertising, for a change. I think this is truly a good product, and not one of those where they sneak in all sorts of chemicals and add one botanical ingredient and call it “organic.” I just tried their Blemish Clearing Serum for (surprise, surprise) oily/combination/problem skin.

I also get a zit or two a month (actually, now that my hormones have been nicely balanced and I zap stress with yoga, it’s a much rarer event, and only one or two little pimples), the perfect things with which to test this product. A quick glance at the box shows that it’s made with citrus and apple juice extracts and raw cane sugar, and has dandelion leaf (anti inflammatory!) plus some other great stuff…and no icky chemicals or artificial fragrance.

And…it smelled great. My husband tried out an organic shaving cream that worked great, but smelled like goat cheese, which unfortunately sometimes happens when you don’t get to use powerful artificial chemical fragrances. Thus, although I was sad I didn’t get to support this earnest, small company, I didn’t recommend the shaving cream because the smell of lotions and potions is part of the experience, and I think you’re more likely to use it (instead of wasting your money as it goes bad in your bathroom cabinet) if you like its smell and texture. The Juice Beauty blemish stuff smelled great, and seemed to get the pimple I treated (luckily, I had two, so I could have a control group) healed faster than the untreated one. Furthermore, the CoQ 10 in this serum is supposed to help even out skin tone. Much better than anything you can get at a drugstore, and organic, too.

I’m excited to try out some of their other products, including some anti-aging creams (yeah, yeah, pimples and wrinkles, the bane of my existence). In the meantime, you can find their products at health food stores and places like Whole Foods. Their website is www.juicebeauty.com.
