Well, my aunt was at it once again. I came into the office this morning and found another sweet little handmade gift tucked into my computer keyboard. If any of you need a last minute stocking stuffer idea, or just want to hand out a small gift that won't cost a lot of money, this project could be just what you are looking for.

To describe it, I'll do my best and I'm sure that you will get the basics of it. My scanner really wouldn't do it justice since the font and the papers are so small. She took a piece of thick white paper and cut it decoratively to about 3x4 inch dimensions. On top of this she glued a regular piece of blue copy paper so that only the white showed as a border. On the bottom right of the blue paper, she has an angel on a cloud image. On the cloud part she then pasted a shiny new penny. Around the angel the following is written:

I found a penny today
Just laying on the ground,
But it's not just a penny
This little coin I've found.
Found pennies come from Heaven.
That's what my Grandpa told me.
He said, " Angels toss them down. "
Oh, how I loved that story.
He said, "When an Angel misses you,
They toss a penny down
Sometimes just to
cheer you up
To make a smile out of your frown."
So don't pass by that penny
when you're feeling blue.
It may be a penny from Heaven
That an Angel's tossed to you.

I've written the words just as they are on the paper, and they don't seem to come out right as a poem, but with a little adjusting, I'm sure that you could come up with something. If you had a tad more time, it would also be nice to add in some more color to the angel or possibly some glitter. Regardless, it really is cute.
