At FertilityCommunity.com, you can read about everything from conception basics to treatment options. Those of you who have recently discovered that you are facing fertility challenges might want to start by reading over the Infertility 101 topics as well as the Infertility FAQs.

When I was first facing my infertility, I was not aware of any resources such as FertilityCommunity.com to help me understand what was going on with my body. The only information I had about the cause of my infertility and about treatment options came from my fertility specialist or someone else on his staff. It would have helped me to read over resources that explained what I was facing in layman's terms.

I did not discover message boards until I had resolved my infertility issues through adopting a child. When I faced my infertility challenges, I did it alone. Yes, I had friends who tried to be supportive, but it would have helped immensely to know other women who were facing the same struggles.

FertilityCommunity.com has a message board called FertilityForums.com for people who are facing infertility challenges. You can meet people who are in different stages of fertility treatments. You can also talk with other people who are going through the same types of treatments as you are. Unlike me, you do not have to go through your fertility procedures alone. You can have on-line friends to talk with about what you are facing.

When I discovered messaged boards, I had recently adopted a child. I wanted to meet other adoptive mothers and did not know any in my off-line life. I have become good friends with many on-line friends. Some have been in my life for over five years now, and their friendships are just as important to me as many of my off-line friendships are.
