Today I decided to take a small break from the book and think up my own list of things that make me happy that I encountered through out the day. I'm glad that I started out with this happiness mindset, as I found out today that my 8 month old has pneumonia! Thankfully we caught it in time to not have to do a hospital stay, but just having x-rays and a diagnosis were stressful enough.
Close Up toothpaste I despise the flavor of mint. Anything that is flavored like mint reminds me of toothpaste. Close Up is flavored like cinnamon and I look forward to brushing my teeth.
babies dressed only in bibs and diapers Now with the first day of summer, and with Bec running a fever, I dressed him today in only a bib, for his drooling and a diaper for his, you know. He looks just adorable rolling around in all of that skin! What a doll.
introducing your children to new things I bought Ivy a root beer float for the first time today. As I was explaining this treat to her on the drive to DQ, I told her that it was two of her favorite things. Pop and vanilla ice cream. She was so excited and loved it! I'm also happy because it is a lot less messy than a drippy cone.
peasant shirts I bought a new soft cotton, creme colored sleeveless, flowy top yesterday for $8. A comfortable bargain. Of course, it kind of remsembles a maternity shirt, but I'll take the mystery to be in style.
the microwave oven It is too hot to use the stove today! Leftovers for us all. Daddy will have chicken and vegetables. Ivy and I will have lettuce wraps. And everything is microwave-able. Dinner is served!
