My friend is still waiting on answers about her pregnancy. And keeps getting dragged back onto the roller coaster ride after she thinks that the ride has finally ended.
Here is an update on her story.
Yesterday she went in for another blood draw in the morning, then had an appt with her doc in the afternoon. During her appointment the doctor told her that their wasn’t anything to be seen on the ultrasound. And that her HCG numbers were going down. So, my friend called me crying and left me a message about the pregnancy loss.
I immediately went to the liquor store and purchased the ingredients for Cosmos which are her favorite. I dropped the gift off at her house with her husband.
As I was driving away, she called me on my cell phone. She had just gotten of of the phone with her doctor’s office with some more news. Her doctor hadn’t heard the results right from the nurse about the HCGs. They are actually rising instead of dropping. So now we are back at the unknown.
Since there wasn’t anything visible on the ultrasound, they are thinking that she may have an ectopic pregnancy or that it just may have been way too early to see anything. She has to go in on Wednesday to have another draw to check the levels again. And then she will see where to go from there. Her doctor said that there is still a possibility that this may be a viable pregnancy. Doesn’t look like she’ll be enjoying the drinks any time soon.
So today she is at work, trying to stay somewhat busy. She said that lying on the couch crying isn’t really working for her at this point. I guess that we know about the same now that we did this weekend.
I hate this ride.
