I contacted PaintingChef last night to see if I could reprint her latest infertility post here as I felt that it did such a great job at conveying a reaction to a friend's pregnancy and a new baby born. And isn't this one of the cutest replies as well?

Let me tell you a secret about infertiles...

When one of us conquers their reproductive bits and produces an actual offspring, we kind of all do a little happy dance complete with butt wiggling and drunk white girl arms. Perhaps even some lip biting and shimmying for good measure. And in the case of it being someone on whom we have a serious internet crush and would give our left breast (the perkier one) to curl up on the couch with to watch Heathers and the collective works of the Brat Pack armed with a week's supply of red wine and chocolate brownies... well it just makes the whole day kind of sparkly with gumdrops and unicorns.

That said... Congratulations Zube Girl.

In the spirit of full disclosure and honesty I would like to point out that we (infertiles) have this reaction when one of us brings home a baby regardless of the method in which said child was acquired. Adoption, surrogacy, whatever. Infertiles with new babies warrant full on drunk white girl dancing caliber celebrations.
