I spoke with a girlfriend today that may be having a miscarriage. And what we agreed about the most is the worst part of it is the may be. It was exactly a week ago today that she told me that she was expecting. She began experiencing light bleeding on Thursday and of course with the weekend now she is in the dark about everything. She had an ultrasound on Friday, and since the techs can’t say anything, she is waiting for scan to be read. Her blood draw was taken on Thursday as well, but she can’t go in for the second one until Monday. Let’s just say that it is going to be a rough weekend. And did I mention that it is also Easter?
As we were talking the memories of my losses came back. Her pregnancy is very early along, much earlier than mine was but a lot of the symptoms that she is having are the same. But again, as I think back, they are different as well, which gives me hope for this new life. She says that she is trying to just think that whatever is meant to be will be, but then again, she says that she has been on the couch and crying for 2 days. Boy, can I relate! And why do these things always happen at the end of the week? When you are supposed to be recovering from work, you are having the worst anxiety that you have ever experienced.
As you are going along your day, would you please keep her in your thoughts and prayers? It will make me feel like I am doing something for her besides just waiting. Thank you and I’ll keep you posted. Isn’t it true when they say that you wouldn’t wish this on anyone? My stomach hurts.
